hi
Yup
Hello
>>> No. He cannot sin mate Hebrews has a different story
Heb 4:15 For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin.
As I said he cannot sin.
As he is god.
That's not what the Bible says. Jesus was tempted just as we are, but he didn't sin. If he was unable to sin, then he was never really tempted.
Contradictions 😏
There is only a contradiction for you, not for me. God cannot be tempted (James 1:13) but Jesus was tempted (Heb 4:15, Mat 4:1).
Jesus is god.
And human as well. 100100
No, Jesus is God's son.
🤦
Read Mark
Mark differentiates between Jesus and God all throughout his Gospel. Jesus is a man who loves and worships his God.
Ah mate.
Mark 8:29 He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Peter answered and said to him, “You are the Christ.”
Why doesn't Peter say "You are God Almighty?"
How about 1 Timothy ?
Got you there. Didn't I ?
1 Tim 2:5 For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,
The entire Bible distinguishes Jesus from God. They aren't the same.
>>> 1 Tim 2:5For there is one God, and there i... I think he was referring to 1Timothy 3:16
1Tim 3:16: "And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory."
That's a mistranslation due to a textual variant. Here's the correct reading of 1 Tim 3:16:
"Beyond question, great is the mystery of godliness: He who was revealed in the flesh, Was vindicated in the spirit, Seen by angels, Proclaimed among the nations, Believed on in the world, Taken up in glory."
That's from the NASB
Oh okay. I used KJV
>>> "Beyond question, great is the mystery of ... With this, who was revealed in the flesh?
If we read John 1:1 it says there the Word was God. And in John 1:14 it says, "And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us... "
Yeah the has a huge trinitarian bias
*the kjv
The word in John 1 is God's word, through which he created the heavens and the earth
>>> Yeah the has a huge trinitarian bias Why?
Jesus Christ
hi
Psalm 33:6 By the word of the Lord the heavens were made, and by the breath of his mouth all their host.
Amen
>>> Why? Because it was translated by Trinitarians who want the Bible to sound more trinitarian.
>>> The word in John 1 is God's word, through ... You are right☺ "And God said, Let there be light: and there was light." (Genesis 1:3). God spoke and everything that was made was made. So, In the beginning was the "Word" (emphasis added) and that Word is God Himself (because He is the one who spoke in the beginning that dawned creation). And right there in John 1:14, the Word was made flesh. That verse is referring to Jesus Christ if you would read the following verses.
>>> You are right☺ "And God said, Let there be... God's word is revealed through the man Jesus. That's the point of verse 14.
The entire Gospel of John distinguishes between Jesus and God. Jesus is a man who worships God, is sent by God, gets all his authority from God, prefers God's will to his own, is resurrected by God, and sits down at the right hand of God.
So, you don't believe Jesus is God?
I believe that Jesus is the Christ, the son of God - John 20:31
I don't have a contention against that. But it is also said in the NT, that Jesus was made flesh. He is God but took on flesh so He could die for our sins. Hebrews 9:22 says, without the shedding of the blood, there is no remission of sins. He is the perfect sacrifice—God Himself.
He is not just a man who gained a special favor from God but He is God. Colossians 1:15 says, Jesus is the image of the invisible God and in verse 17 of the same chapter says, He is before all things. And in John 8:58 Jesus said, "Before Abraham was, I am."
All this debating when you can just ask a qualified priest instead …
🤦‍♂️
No, God is immortal so he can't die (1 Tim 1:17). The Bible says that God sacrificed his son for our sins, not himself (John 3:16). Hebrews 1 distinguishes Jesus from God all throughout. The image of God is not God. Jesus is claiming to be the Messiah there, not God.
