There are some scriptures in the texts used for the KJVnkjv that arenโt in the older texts. Some find that suspicious.
Itโs because the king James version was written well before the Dead Sea scrolls were found. The Betsy scrolls are the oldest copies of the Old Testament that we have aside from some minor scraps of a verse here and there.

The kjv and nkjv use 99% of New Testament manuscripts we have which agree with each other in 99% of areas. Most other translations use exactly 3 manuscripts which disagree with each other widely, but people like those simply because they're older.
There is a small portion of places where the kjv and nkjv differ from the majority text because they're based on the textus receptus. The English majority text version of the NT doesn't have that problem.

No, they will just regurgitate Roman Catholic dogma despite it being nowhere found in the Bible. Catholic priests "explaining the correct meaning of verses" looks like pulling a random verse our of the Bible and saying "See, this means that Mary was assumed into heaven and this other verse means you have to pay for your sins through purgatory."
