I totally understand your feelings and your appreciation for service animals.
To the point about renting out someone's property to someone with a pet, it's not so much the pets fault but rather the owners who don't it can't control their pets. The damaged to the property can be extensive. And it's harder to rent out after.
Best to walk a mile in the others shoes before passing judgement
