Alright folks, I want different perspectives and have nowhere else to ask. I’m having a boy. Circumcision: yea or nay? The best argument for it is hygiene, but in our modern first world country that’s not a concern of mine.
The other reasons are cosmetic or social, but he can always opt to do it later. I don’t believe it’s any less painful for babies, they just can’t remember. It might arguably be scarier because they don’t know what’s going on. They’ve never been able to tell us. Permanent body modification for cosmetic appeal on someone who can’t consent just feels extreme to me, but it has been the norm
I’d be especially interested in the point of view of an uncut man if anyone feels comfortable sharing with the class 😂

I didn’t think about the teasing aspect. That’s a fair point actually. I have thought about future partners’ preferences, but I keep coming back to he can choose for himself if that’s an issue
