Hmmm try deleting the app and doing fresh download. It has been a glitchy lately and lots of folks have complained

I have to constantly swipe down to refresh and get updated messages the all the rooms just don't update that fast I think it's also the amount of rooms you have on your phone in the app that could be causing that
