The race swaps I can live with if the actor isn’t terrible but the story is usually so removed from the source it should have been a stand alone altogether, then again it’s usually so bad it probably wouldn’t survive 😂

Tbh I don’t really care about the race swap in any remakes I just find the reactions funny 😆

They also produced better memes than shows 😂

They absolutely destroyed the Witcher, that lotr show on Amazon was poo, most of the star wars stuff is poo.. but then, you have Amazon doing fallout which was actually surprisingly not that horrible, and TLOU was fairly accurate

The actors don’t matter at all, race is only important if it’s relevant to the story, they need to stop thinking they have better ideas and ruining good writing and stories

But I guess there’s no worries about that happening for Harry Potter considering it’s a piece of hot steamy poo anyway

Tho actually I will revise my statement about actors not mattering because the actress they cast to play Ellie in TLOU is just wrong on so many levels, and so is Abby, and their casting of Abby will change an important plot point which annoys me

At this point casting someone awful and race swapping is marketing, tho they probably should have noticed by now it serves a very limited demographics and the ROI negative.

Now when you manage to both cast the worst possible actor and do the most horrible race swap you get a Disney live action 😂

When they’re casting actors based on their skill then it’s no issue but when it’s purely to be inclusive and a bad actor it ruins things for def

But tbf as long as the story is good and it’s a good adaptation it shouldn’t matter

I’m still angry about Gwendoline Christie being cast in Star Wars only for them to give the character no substance at all and kill her off even tho she could have been the best baddie

It should always start with a good story that people actually want to watch, which doesn’t shit on the cannon and then I think ever not so good actors would suffice

Friday was awesome story telling wise even tho the actors were so awful

If they had better casting they’d still be on!

I stopped watching SW after the teletubies weirdness in the Mandalorian

That was pre mandolorian , the sequel trilogy that we don’t talk about

As if I had to watch a weak ass Disney sex scene between kylo and Rey

I think it was the Mandalorian

Because I did watch it to that point

Why! Why! Why!

Well to be fair the sequel trilogy is relevant to our topic but in the opposite way

So Finn was a stormtrooper who escaped and turned good and joined the rebels right. And instead of going with that story and making it actually interesting, because Disney was too scared of having a black man as its star..

They added Rey who was typical boring white character who had no substance and terrible writing, and they threw Finn under the bus

I loved Finn

I hate how they assassinated this character

Rey is palpatine’s grandkid? And she has the dark side in her blood? But they made her good anyway, instead of letting her and kylo join up and cast evil upon the world with their dark side sex antics.. and palpatine died how many times???

He was literally the only character I could feel connected at all

Legit. Fucking legit. They should have made Finn the main character honestly it would have been so much cooler

But I haven’t heard a single fan with brains who didn’t like Fin in the first movie

And we all hates how they removed him and filled the next two will completely pointless shit and Rose

And in I think the obi wan series, they had a badass second sister who was black and fucking awesome but again, they ruined her character in favour of boring ass white ppl

Yknow I thought the first movie was okay tbh, the second 2 don’t exist to me and the third is an abomination and an offence to cinema

First movie was entertaining

Okay so if we’re talking stuff on Disney, watch abbot elementary

And Finn & Ray bro vibe was so fresh

Kylo Ren was actually bad not some emo

There’s literally only like 2 white ppl in the whole show and it is so so soooooo good

Nah i don’t like black focused entertainment, it makes me feel too superior to whoever wrote it 😂

See, Kylo was kinda maybe going a bit good for a hot minute and ray was going a bit crazy with her palpatine blood.. why didn’t they switch it up and make Rey fall to the dark side and Kylo come full circle to be Ben Solo again and team up with Finn to defeat Rey
