i havnt read the books but i know king didnt like the movie for shining, but the director made the movie doctor sleep as a sequel to not just the movie but book shining also
he really wasnt not just the third act but the fact that they changed how the dad was just an ahole from the very start as well
oh i know i heard she was treated like crap on that set by kubrik especially to get her to "act" better
like dam i know hes suppose to be this great director but im sure theres ways to get a performance without being a prick to someone you know
true cause now a days its not like that (least for the sets i've worked on), its still racist as hell though they just hide it better lol
