i dont understand why politicians are allowed to own shares

in medicine, all conflicts of interest have to be declared, and can't do certain things depending on the conflicts of interests

here, these politicians, their votes send citizen to die in war, and also kills civilians and soldiers in other countries, destroys their infrastructure, etc.

if the system were just, every politician that makes a profit from trades that are influenced by decisions they contribute to should be imprisoned
