I’m in Ontario too. You didn’t have to pay to go to the hospital to be seen but it doesn’t mean it’s free, lol. Our taxes would prove otherwise.

Instead of paying extra taxes for socialiazed healthcare we pay 30000k to aetna.

Yes, I have an insurance plan but I think the misconception that Canada has free healthcare is wild. I have a healthcare that I flash with my insurance. We pay for our healthcare through our taxes lol my taxes are insane annually. My companies benefits are superior so I don’t pay much but I pay a boatload of the plan lol
