what does that verse mean? you are not consumed by what?
Hum
This passage encourages believers to trust in God’s love and faithfulness, no matter how difficult life may seem. It reminds us that His mercy is always available, offering hope and renewal each day.
>>> what does that verse mean? you are not con... Why don't u read on ur own Bible to try to understand?
That person is not Christian.
Have been arguing since forever now.
Haha
i haven't argued once
and i have read the bible, yellow bird. the catholic bible and the KJV. i was just curious about fish's explanation of the verse
what is with the hostility in here?
hi
sup
hru
We are bunch of inimical people here.
I would kindly ask you to stop arguing and keep the group Christ-focused with the discussions that honours the Lord.
Ok ok I am not arguing.
thank you fish. i can tell you follow the shepard
fish, do you take in the apocryphas or pay no attention to them? i know some people believe them and some people consider them heretical
book of enoch for example is a common one people take in
I have not read the Book of Enoch since it is not mentioned in the Bible, so I have no knowledge of it.
it's interesting. it's from the torah. talks about nephilims and stuff
Anything which is not mentioned in the Bible itself, I wouldn’t believe and is misleading.
lol why were my messages removed?
>>> Anything which is not mentioned in the Bib... yeah like i said some believe em and some don't. they were not included in the bible for a reason. but interesting none the less to see what was nominated i guess you could say
So then why would you believe that statement itself? It’s self refuting
Concerning the apocryphal wiriting or the deuterocanon, they were imcluded in the bibles the early church used and were there all the way up until reformers removed them in the 16th-17th century. Also the apostles, Church fathers and even Jesus quoted from them
Enoch isn’t considered canon but does have important information in them that the church believed, hence why it was quoted from
God bless u all 🙂
spear chucker you seem pretty knowledgeable about this religion
lol if I was knowledgeable I’d be in a monastery by now
is that your goal?
If God wills I won’t oblige
Thank you though
I just got done chatting with another christian chatroom and the leader couldnt answer my questions
want to give it a try
Well yeah most of us here are not qualified to be answering questions anyways so that makes sense
nah it was on a totally differnt website
Is it that you haven’t managed to find an answer online or that the answers you have gotten are not convincing enough for you
its deep stuff, goes deep into the religion
Yeah then I probably won’t be able to answer it either 😂
Now - why was god evil in the old test. but good in the New. was that a actual transition or did the writers have errors translating stuff
What do you mean by evil?
Like: Ordering the slaughter of infants and children (1 Samuel 15:3) Flooding the earth, killing everyone but one family (Genesis 6–9) Burning cities alive (Sodom & Gomorrah) Punishing generations for the sins of their fathers (Exodus 20:5)
Yes but give me a definition of evil
Your definition
Sure — a fair, general definition of evil would be: “The intentional infliction of suffering, harm, or death on others — especially the innocent — without just cause or proportional reason.”
Is morality defined by action, or just who’s doing it?
So if there was proportional reason, they weren’t innocent or it wasn’t intentional would it be evil?
By they weren’t innocent what I mean is that, it was just basically
Are infants guilty by association? Are babies “not innocent” because of where they were born? If a human leader did this today and said “they weren’t innocent,” would we call that justice… or a war crime?
