So my friend came out to me as trans but said that they feel confused still
Or what can I say to let them know that I’m understand but like idk?
First off, thank you for not turning your back on them. Let’s just take a minute to appreciate that.
They probably are just needing more time to settle into who they are. I’d just ask them what pronouns they want to be referred to with, and if they have a name they want to go by or try out.
As for understanding, I’ll try to think of an example that makes sense.
Imagine you park your car in a parking lot. You come back, get in your car, but you realize it isn’t your car. You try to get out, but you’re locked in. Everyone else insists “No, this is your car. It’s the same color, make, model.” But on the inside, that isn’t your coffee in the cup holder and the air freshener isn’t yours. It isn’t your car.
That’s how it feels kinda.

No problem! I think it would be fine. Just let them know that you’re new to this, and that you’re going to do your best to be supportive. Maybe find a local PFLAG meeting, too.
I’m not really new to this but I am new to the part where my friend is confused and I try to help her out

It may help them to find a therapist and other trans people to talk to. PFLAG may also be a good resource for her, too.

Are they leaning toward identifying as male or female? There are some groups on f book that may help
She has came as gay and a few years after she came out at trans
Okay. I’m in trans guy groups, but I can try to find a few group names that are helpful and not drama-filled.
I’ve played mentor to a few trans people. Been a while but I can dust off the gloves and see what I can find.
