Trump was in a no win scenario, either A. Do nothing, Hope Israel destroys irans nuclear program. Risk war later with a nuclear Iran to stay out of current war or B. Risk war now by attempting to step in to destroy irans nuclear program in order to hopefully avert a nuclear war later
If he was confident Israel could handle the goal then A is the better situation. If he was sure that they couldn’t than B is probably the better scenario.
