I think as long as you have good attendance and do the job there should be no case to fire someone for no reason at all. If there's an actual case for being fired it should be investigated and if there's proof that person doesn't do their job then they can be fired
Do employees get to quit at will without it tarnishing their reputation? No, they have to put in a notice
