I remember when my grandmas dementia got so severe she would tell us how my grandpa who passed came and took her on dates

We just went along with it

Far from it! The scenario is usually happening when the resident is trying to leave out of the building… I guess I could’ve added that in there. We’re not just randomly “lying” to them. That’s why it’s called a therapeutic fib. All about their safety.

As you should! In this case, she wasn’t hurting herself or anyone else. Wasn’t putting herself in a dangerous situation.
